1955 Mk1 Zephyr Saloon

Peter Harris is clearly a lucky gentleman, as he owns not one Zephyr – but three! Some people, hey? This month we’d like to introduce you to his Mk1 example, which contains a rather potent 302 V8 lump, attached up to an auto ’box. To help put all the power down a 9” rear axle has been thrown in the mix, ensuring all angles are well and truly covered.

The shell has been treated to a full respray in Ford ‘Panther black pearl’, which looks absolutely stunning. But you’d expect that sort of finish from twelve years hard graft! Being the great guys we are at Retro Ford we decided that Pete’s pride and joy deserves more than just a spot in Readers’ Cars. Yes, you’ve guessed it, we’ve got a full feature in the pipe-line.
