Mk1 Lotus Cortina

Owner: Simon Peryer

Anglia It’s quite clear that excellence of Retro Ford extends further than European shores, in some cases even as far as New Zealand. Not wishing to miss out on the action Simon Peryer has built himself a rather trick Lotus Cortina, housing a supercharged V8 lump.

Instead of heading down the tried and tested route, he’s opted for 454 big block Chevy lump, which gives the tin corner more than enough get up and go, especially with that supercharger thrown into the mix. Cosmetically it resides, as a Cortina should with that stunning Lotus coloured paintwork, paired nicely to the set of Performance Superlight wheels (Minilite replicas), spot on.

The interior remains purposeful with touches such as the period Corbeau driver’s race seat, Triumph 2500 steering wheel and the Wilwood pedal box all hinting at the cars prowess!
