Mk1 Escort

Matt sent us over pictures of his Mk1 Escort, which as you might’ve already spotted is actually a work in progress. The shell has been treated to a decent sand blasting along with acid dipping (twice) topped off with a lovely coating of Le Mans green, trés nice.

With a fresh set of floors in place, new chassis legs, front end and a full roll cage, this is one lucky Escort and owner and we just can’t wait to see the finished example.
Under the bonnet will house a Vulcan 1700 Crossflow, running twin 40’s, an Ashley exhaust system, paired up to a Type 9 box of cogs.

Power is transmitted through an English rear axle, housing a Quaife ATB ensuring that the cheeky Crossflow is put to maximum use. With an estimated date of completion set for later this month, we hope Matt’s pulled his finger out enough over Christmas to be enjoying the fruits of his labour.
