Anglia
Owner: William Cook
William Cook’s Anglia was actually purchased back in 1960 by his grand father, who’s since then passed the car on through the generations, until it reached William who soon got to work on it. The little Anglebox went through all manor of guises including a tweak 1000cc lump, 1640cc Kent lump and even a 103kw Kent motor, but none of these could satisfy his needs. This is when the decision was made to opt for a 2.0 litre YB turbo lump purchased from over in the UK, which kick started a complete rebuild of the Anglia.
The whole vehicle was stripped back, with the suspension replaced with coilovers all round, 8x15” Minilites were purchased along with uprated brakes and some bodywork tweaks bringing it up to standard. With 320bhp and over 400NM of torque this is one exciting Anglia, which we’re told makes mince meat of the likes of M3’s and Subaru’s, we’re not jealous, much.
